Golden Spheres

Originally appeared as an integral part of the installation "State of Matter" (2003) and later were exhibited as an installation on its own. It contains three half ceramic spheres; each half sphere was hand built in a large mould.
All the ceramics half spheres' inner surface is gold lustered so it reflects the image of the viewers back at them either in a "straight" way as if it was some kind of a mirror or in a anamorphic way when the surface is textured (Precious).
While investigating the half sphere and its possibility to become a whole as an element that symbolizes a relationship between two people, "Precious" emphasizes my hand movements which I kept vivid to preserve the rhythm of the making process.
When the viewers stand in front of each piece they can see their reflection, however, their image is looks wobbly and suggests rethinking about their perception of themselves.
