2007
Every now and again I examine the theme of self-portrait in various ways. I investigate it through different mediums.
In "Glass Odyssey" I used glass casting. Each piece is focused on a different theme. In 2007, I made two types of self-portrait; "Vice Versa" describes a double-sided face representing our persona as well as our inner part, and "Preserved" where the face is attached to a symbolic body that is telling a story of a certain moment in time.
An odyssey is both a spatial and a spiritual journey and refers to the famous Greek poem: Homer's Odyssey which is one of the oldest works of literature still read nowadays.
