"Bird" does not portray a figurative representation of a bird. The wing-like object was coldworked with a traditional hand lathe. Its name refers to Brancusi's series of "Bird in Space". "Kiss" is also an homage to Brancusi's sculpture "The Kiss" which is considered the first modern sculpture of the twentieth century. "Headstone" has an anamorphic shape and its Hebrew text came from a dream it while "Bearing" is industrial industry. The ball-bearing known as Kugellager, was removed from a large machine and lost its function. When cast in glass it might remind us a sacred symbol that its aesthetics is now visible. While I was studying further the casting technique I liked the idea of leaving the reservoir which is often used for putting extra glass for casting; "Black Sound" and "White Sound" reservoirs became an integral part of the pieces. "Embracelet" looks either as a fancy, unique type of jewelry or a chock. The title is a combination of the words “embrace” (to hug) and a bracelet (a hand jewelry). "Body of Light" is my interpretation for a candelabrum and it was inspired by the idea of the winter holidays which bring light after dusk as the days get shorter and the nights - longer. "ImPressions" was inspired by the fact that the size of the human adult heart is often described as the size of a fist. All components are variations of the negative space of both hands.
